The Event
Reach for the Stars is more than just a contest—it’s a transformative journey that transcends competition. It is an opportunity for dancers to grow not only in their technical skills but also in their confidence, creativity, and artistic expression. This event serves as a platform where individuals can challenge their limits, collaborate with others, and embrace the joy of discovery.
Video Submission
Show us your moves by submitting a 1 minute video by 27th February. A Congratulations email shall be sent by 27th March if you have qualified.
Qualifiers
8th – 20th July. The upcoming qualifiers will be held in Prince Albert and Cape Town. Dancer/s from each age group and entry division will be selected by the judges to compete in the Cape Town Finale.
Grand Finale
A spectacular event will be held in Cape Town 25th-27th September (Alternative dates – 2nd – 4th October) where dancer/s will compete for the title of Reach for the Stars 2026.
Prizes
One winner and title holder shall receive a R20 000 cash prize.
2nd place – R15 000
3rd place- R10 000
Shooting Star – R5000
ENTRY FEES
Solo R400.00 per dancer.
Duet/Trio/Quartet/Groups – R350.00 per dancer.
Entry fees must be paid upon registration.
Entry fees are payable to Reach for the Stars Dance Talent, which permits the dancer to participate and enter into Reach for the Stars Dance Talent Competition.
Fees are NOT refundable.

Music to have the name of the dancer, studio, age division and entry type.
Music to be no longer than 3 minutes.

Registration, Indemnity forms, Payment, Proof Of Payment and Music by 1st May.
Registrations submitted after the closing date will not be accepted.
Registration will not be finalised until payment has been made and POP has been uploaded on the registration form.

Every dancer needs to fill in an Indemnity form to be allowed to perform.
NO REGISTRATION = NO PERFORMANCE.
Each dancer must complete a separate registration form and submit their own indemnity form for every performance.
