5 Part Event
Reach for the Stars is more than just a contest—it’s a transformative journey that transcends competition. It is an opportunity for dancers to grow not only in their technical skills but also in their confidence, creativity, and artistic expression. This event serves as a platform where individuals can challenge their limits, collaborate with others, and embrace the joy of discovery.
Video Submission
Show us your moves by submitting a 1 minute video by 11th April. A Congratulations shall be sent by 1st of May if you have qualified.
Semi Finals
On the 3rd of October 1 dancer/s from each age group and entry division will be chosen as a Winner plus 2 Shooting Stars will be chosen by the judges across the age groups and entry divisions to compete in Cape Town Finals.
Qualifies
From 30th June – 4th of July in the Western Cape and 6th -10th of July in the Central Karoo the top 2 contestants from each age group and entry division will be selected for the Semi-Finals.
Grand Finale
A spectacular event on the 4th of October will host 6 dancers/s and 2 shooting stars who will compete for the title of Reach for the Stars 2025.
Prizes
Dancer/s placed 1st in each age group and entry division shall receive a R10 000 cash prize. One winner and title holder shall receive a R20 000 cash prize.
VIDEO SUBMISSION
Video submission no later than 11th of April.
Any late submissions will not be accepted.
Video to not be longer than 1minute.
Any video’s exceeding the time limit will not be accepted.
MUSIC
Music for qualifying rounds submitted to [email protected] by 31st May.
Music submitted after the cut off date will not be accepted.
Music to have the name of the dancer, studio, age division and entry type.
Music to be no longer than 3 minutes.
Music uploaded over 3 minutes will not be accepted.
Video Submission Congratulations email by 1st of May.
Registration, Indemnity forms, a photo of the dancer/s entering solo’s ,
duet’s, trio’s, quartet’s and groups by the 11th May.
Payment and Proof Of Payment by 15th May.
Registrations submitted after the closing date will not be accepted.
Registration will not be finalised until payment has been made and POP has been sent to
[email protected]
Reference on payment, dancers name or studio name.
Every dancer needs to fill in an Indemnity form to be allowed to perform,
NO REGISTRATION = NO PERFORMANCE.
